Integration between Energy and Agricolture

The agrivoltaic system is an innovative approach that differ prefers because it combines agriculture with solar energy. This system uses solar panels installed above crops to generate electricity, without compromising the growth of the plants below.

The energy produced can be used to fuel local energy needs. Furthermore, it also includes the use of innovative cultivation techniques, such as drip irrigation and hydroponics, which allow us to reduce the use of water and increase agricultural productivity.

Environmental Advantages

  • Reduction of carbon emissions: The use of renewable solar energy in agriculture significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions and combats climate change.
  • Saving agricultural land: Installing solar panels above crops or on unused land preserves agricultural resources and the surrounding ecosystem.
  • Water saving: Thanks to solar panels shading, less water evaporates from soil, enabling efficient water use and sustainable irrigation like drip irrigation.

Agrivoltaico vantaggi economici

Economic Advantages

  • Sustainable energy generation: Solar panels can produce clean, renewable energy for local use or sale, providing a new source of income for farmers.
  • Income diversification: Solar energy reduces farmers’ dependence on unpredictable agricultural markets and diversifies their income streams.
  • Reduced operating costs: By using solar energy, agricultural businesses can reduce operating costs and improve profitability, by encouraging innovative agricultural practices among farmers.
  • Promotion of agricultural innovation: The adoption of agrivoltaic systems increases crop productivity and sustainability.

differen can design different agrivoltaic systems, advanced ones, supported by the State, but above all those that do not require any support

Agrivoltaico tradizionale

Traditional

It is a non-advanced system that uses a system layout that requires a greater distance between the rows of panels. It is possible to cultivate while guaranteeing optimal energy production.

Agrivoltaico avanzato

Advanced

The panels are positioned on very high structures and thinned out so as to create little shade. They cost more, produce 10% less energy, but guarantee greater crop yields.

Agrivoltaico verticale

With vertical panels

The panels are positioned very far from each other but guarantee minimal land occupation. They produce more than traditional systems early in the morning and late at night, therefore they receive a higher energy price.
