Comunità di energia rinnovabile

Renewable Energy Community

differen promotes local energy production through the establishment of Renewable Energy Communities (CER), associations of users who collaborate to produce, consume, share, and manage the energy produced from renewable sources through one or more energy plants installed in their vicinity.

The community is formed as a legal entity based on the open and voluntary participation of members and can be made up of local public bodies, companies, commercial activities and/or private citizens.

It is therefore a collaborative form of energy, centered on a local exchange system, which aims to encourage the active participation of citizens in the energy system, promote distributed generation, and facilitate the transition towards renewable sources, reducing users’ dependence on the national electricity system.

Benefits for consumers

Con le CER minore inquinamento

Less pollution

Community Renewable Energy is the fastest and easiest way to add more clean energy to your local electricity supply and make the electric grid cleaner. Injecting more solar energy into the electricity grid reduces the demand for fossil fuel energy and the greenhouse gases they emit.

Con le CER maggiori risparmi

More savings

Local farmers and businesses hosting solar panels can subscribe to the farm to save on energy costs, plus they earn money by renting their space to solar developers. The leased land can be returned to its previous state at the end of the lease.

Con le CER più posti di lavoro

More Jobs

Community solar projects can also generate significant job opportunities because they require a diverse team of professionals ranging from electrical engineers to installers, and maintenance experts to renewable energy and management specialists.

Con le CER più stimolo all'economia locale

More stimulus to the local economy

Renewable energy can reduce dependence on external energy sources, allowing communities to save on long-term energy costs. These savings can be used to support public services or reduce local taxes, if fiscal policy allows.
